Produção orgânica: Uma alternativa na agricultura familiar

Resumo: Este trabalho analisou a participação das mulheres nas atividades da agricultura orgânica sob uma perspectiva de gênero e, mais especificamente, nas decisões, geração e apropriação da renda, como uma estratégia para o desenvolvimento rural. O estudo foi realizado nos municípios do Oeste do Paraná. Na pesquisa foram apresentadas e discutidas as dificuldades dos produtores familiares em iniciar e manter-se na atividade orgânica. Os resultados evidenciaram maior participação das mulheres nos processos de planejamento, investimento e comercialização da produção orgânica. Além disso, ocorreram mudanças positivas nas relações intrafamiliares. A participação de mulheres e homens nas atividades orgânicas é uma importante estratégia adotada na agricultura familiar, porque garante maior diversificação, mais renda e melhor qualidade de vida.
