A cadeia produtiva do leite: um estudo sobre a organização da cadeia e sua importância para o desenvolvimento regional.

O estudo das cadeias de produção está relacionado à organização do sistema produtivo e às articulações de compra e venda entre os elementos que o compõe. Esse conceito, predominantemente utilizado no estudo das atividades Agroindustriais, possibilita uma ampla visualização do processo produtivo, a partir do qual pontos fortes e fracos podem ser amplamente identificados, tornando-se, assim, uma importante ferramenta de análise das atividades agropecuárias. Este trabalho tem por objetivo estudar a atividade produtiva do Leite, através da ótica de sua cadeia de produção. Inicialmente, será uma revisão bibliográfica sobre o conceito das Cadeias Produtivas. Em seguida, será estudado o funcionamento da Cadeia Produtiva do Leite, partindo-se de uma retrospectiva histórica de sua evolução, bem como da caracterização das principais transformações ocorridas no setor, sobretudo na década de 90, posteriormente, serão analisados os fatores relevantes do desenvolvimento de sua atividade, tais como as estruturas de mercado existentes na cadeia, aspectos de competitividade e comercialização. Depois de diagnosticar o funcionamento da Cadeia Produtiva do Leite, o trabalho discute o papel dessa atividade no desenvolvimento econômico regional, ressaltando sua participação no setor agropecuário e as possibilidades potenciais da ampliação de sua representatividade. Além disso, destacamos a importância da cadeia na geração de emprego, renda e tributos.
