A INFLUÊNCIA DA APLICAÇÃO DE RECURSOS PÚBLICOS NAS ÁREAS DE EDUCAÇÃO E SAÚDE COM OS ÍNDICES SOCIAIS NOS MUNICÍPIOS PARANANENSES.

Este artigo tem como objetivo analisar a relação dos investimentos realizados nas áreas de educação e saúde com o Índice IPARDES de Desenvolvimento Municipal (IPDM) nos municípios do Estado do Paraná. Trata-se de uma pesquisa descritiva. Quanto aos procedimentos caracteriza-se como um estudo bibliográfico e documental e possuí característica quantitativa em relação ao problema. A amostra analisada compreende 282 municípios paranaenses e cobre o período de 2000 a 2012. Os resultados, a priori, mostram que as variáveis analisadas possuem correlação positiva e significativa com o IPDM, o que sugere a existência de uma associação entre os gastos sociais e o indicador de desenvolvimento social. Porém, para examinar a relação de causalidade entre as variáveis, optou-se pela utilização da técnica estatística de análise de regressão com dados em painel, por meio do modelo de efeitos fixos. Os achados indicam que as aplicações de recursos nas áreas de educação e saúde influenciam significativamente o IPDM (p< 0,01).
