Educação ambiental na Universidade: Percepção dos acadêmicos do curso de Administração em Santa Maria-RS

O presente estudo tem como objetivo analisar a percepção dos acadêmicos do Curso de Administração em duas Instituições de Ensino Superior de Santa Maria – RS no que tange ao papel do indivíduo e da universidade no desenvolvimento de ações voltadas à educação ambiental. Para isso, foi desenvolvida uma pesquisa de caráter quantitativo, do tipo descritiva, por meio de um estudo de campo através da aplicação de um questionário em uma amostra composta por 49 acadêmicos de uma Instituição Privada e 41 acadêmicos de uma Instituição Pública da cidade. Como principais resultados, destacam-se que os acadêmicos demonstraram ter conhecimento sobre o tema educação ambiental. Porém, estão pouco ou nada preocupados em desenvolver ações que visem à preservação do meio ambiente. Em relação à contribuição das Instituições de Ensino Superior para a educação ambiental, os acadêmicos expressaram que tanto a Instituição Privada quanto a Pública contribuem em parte nesse sentido. A respeito da atuação dessas instituições a favor da educação ambiental, os mesmos alegam não ter conhecimento das ações desenvolvidas com esse propósito. Por isso, essa falta de divulgação e comunição por parte das instituições aos seus acadêmicos pode justificar o não envolvimento dos mesmos em mais ações ambientais.
