A partir da Lei nº 8.213/91 a inserção das pessoas com deficiência no mercado de trabalho assalariado se tornou uma exigência para as empresas que tenham a partir de cem funcionários. Isto trouxe uma série de desafios aos gestores de pessoas que passaram a sofrer com as implicações da legislação e as dificuldades de se compreender a deficiência para tratar desenvolver técnicas apropriadas que possibilitem desenvolver a gestão da diversidade nas organizações e incluir as pessoas com deficiência no trabalho assalariado. O presente artigo, a partir de uma discussão teórica, pretende contribuir para uma compreensão mais ampliada, dos profissionais de gestão de pessoas e outros interessados, a respeito da deficiência, apresentando-a sob um enfoque antropológico, como uma construção cultural. São apresentados, ainda, alguns modelos de compreensão da deficiência, que possibilitam deixar de entendê-la como doença, para compreendê-la sob um enfoque biopsicossocial e de igualdade social.Downloads

2.
