The social responsibility in agriculture cooperatives of Rio Grande do Sul state (Brazil)

The present study tried to diagnose the actions of social responsibility adopted by the agriculture cooperatives in Rio Grande do Sul state (Brazil). For the work accomplishment it used of accomplishment information of a quantitative, applied research in the cooperatives affiliated to the Agriculture Cooperatives Federation. It used survey method, being evaluated three blocks with the variables that represent questions related with the social responsibility: Strategy of social performance, results actions and evaluation divulging of the social actions. The strong points of the cooperatives are concentrated on strategies of social performance and of the actions divulging, detaching the high direction involvement in the cooperative social performance strategic decisions and the perception that the social performance contributes for the cooperatives mark invigoration. The items with the lowest indices in the evaluation refer to the strategy formalization lack of social performance, to the results divulging of the social action is to the involved public and also regarding the actions evaluation practice as systematic process in the cooperatives.
