Dinâmica da estrutura horizontal de um fragmento de Floresta Ombrófila Mista no Centro-Sul do Paraná

Abstract

Foi avaliada a dinâmica da estrutura horizontal de um fragmento florestal com Araucaria angustifolia (Bert.) O. Ktze. na região Centro-Sul do Paraná. O estudo foi baseado em parcelas amostrais permanentes, totalizando 3,5 ha, instaladas na Estação Experimental de São João do Triunfo-PR. Foram analisados os índices densidade, dominância e frequência durante o período 1995 a 1998. A espécie Araucaria angustifolia apresentouse como a espécie com maior densidade e mais dominante e frequente no período analisado. Araucaria angustifolia, Ocotea porosa e Matayba elaeagnoides apresentaram, tanto em 1995 como em 1998, as maiores dominâncias, com mais de 62% do total da floresta. As três espécies mais frequentes da floresta foram as mesmas para 1995 e 1998, quais sejam: Araucaria angustifolia (81,71%), Nectandra grandiflora (37,14%) e Ilex paraguariensis (27,43%). Durante o período de 4 anos, a densidade da floresta aumentou de 557 ind./ha para 611 ind./ha, com incremento em área basal de 32,10 m2 /ha para 33,07 m2 /ha.
