Fermentação contínua por Zymomonas mobilis ATCC 29191 em concentrações elevadas de sacarose

Foi realizada a fermentação contínua de sacarose nas concentrações de 10 e 20 g% por Z. mobilis ATCC 29191. Em sacarose a 10 g%, a cultura atingiu o estado estacionário nas taxas de diluição ( D ) testadas. Em D = 0,11, 0,21 e 0,28 h¡1 , a concentração de etanol foi respectivamente 38,1, 41,2 e 36,1 g/L, enquanto que a biomassa atingiu valores de 3,94, 4,75 e 4,10 g/L. Entretanto, em sacarose a 20 g% e D = 0,11 h¡1, a cultura mostrou prolongado período de oscilação, caracterizando dificuldade, senão impossibilidade, em atingir o estado estacionário.
